Dinosaur Discovery Day: Geohazards and Preparedness

Join the Friends of Dinosaur Ridge for free hands-on activities including gold panning, fossil sifting, metal detecting and dinosaur track painting. Geologists will discuss earthquakes and faulting, volcanic eruptions, landslides and rockfalls, radiation, floods, swelling soils, wildfires, and other hazards. Denver Firefighters Museum, West Metro, Ready Colorado, Metro Volunteers and Radio Disney will offer expertise on preparedness.
