opened in early 2017 just off South Academy Boulevard, offering take-out-only service, call-ahead recommended. They host a list of chicken wing flavors that entice the eye; I count 14 on the printed menu plus a couple of specials verbaled to us. We of course want to try one of everything, but orders start at eight-piece servings for one flavor or 10-piece servings for two.
I’m unsure how we deviate from a Facebook promotion for 65-cent Boneless Wingz Tuesday, i.e. a 10-piece combo for $6.50, as we get rung up for the normal $10.99 for ours, which include seasoned crinkle-cut fries plus carrot and celery sticks with ranch or blue cheese dip. Sticky mango-habanero wings show a hint of sweetness and almost zero spice, while powdery garlic-Parmesan ones don’t show much vampire repellent or wow-factor. But we dig the vinegary, mildly spicy buffalo ranch flavor and especially the Sriracha chili, which brings the heat without going over the top to compromise taste.
