Crimes Against Nature

When: Wed., April 16, 7 p.m. 2014

Chris Kilmartin is a college professor, clinical psychologist, author, actor, playwright and stand-up comedian, which probably allows him to effortlessly embody multiple characters in his 65-minute solo show Crimes Against Nature, playing at 7 tonight at Stargazers Theatre (10 S. Parkside Drive, tessacs.org). Kilmartin addresses "absurdities and contradictions of masculinity" and the plight of being "a man in today's world," using an autobiographical approach. With $10 tickets benefiting Tessa and a warning about mature content, don't expect it to be as mawkish as Defending the Caveman. Save any inspired chest-pounding for the post-show Q&A. — Matthew Schniper
