Last August, Stargazers presented a slate of local musicians performing a tribute concert dedicated to the music of the late John Stewart, who co-founded the Kingston Trio and, as a solo artist, went on to create undeniably influential pop and proto-Americana songs like “Daydream Believer,” “Gold” and “California Bloodlines.” Now comes the second in what looks, and deserves, to be an ongoing series of concerts, this time focusing on the music of Bob Dylan, whose signature songs are just a few too many to mention. One of the most chameleonic artists this side of David Bowie, Dylan is also among the most prolific, with a catalog that offers plenty of material for Chuck Snow, The Mitguards, Lindsay & Jeremy Facknitz, Jason Miller, Craig Walter, Jason Bennett, K.J. Braithwaite, John & Cindy Hooton and Moondog Mike Judge to dig their teeth into. The evening should be an especially nostalgic one for Bennett, who produced a compilation album called Positively Pikes Peak, which featured local musicians covering much of the same ground back in 2010. They don’t call it timeless for nothing.
