Colorado has the highest rate of teen e-cigarette use nationwide

Colorado teens love e-cigs, according to a recent study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on youth risk behaviors.

More than one in every four Colorado teens, or 26.2 percent, use e-cigarettes or electronic vapor products — which can also include e-cigars, e-pipes, vape pipes, vaping pens, e-hookahs, and hookah pens. That's nearly twice the national average of 14.3 percent.

Cigarettes, however, are losing popularity. The study showed just 7 percent of Colorado teens use cigarettes, compared to 8.2 percent of teens nationwide.
