Describe the role coffee plays in your life. It wakes me up in the morning. Usually, that's the only time I drink it unless I'm studying.

Why do people "geek out" so much over coffee? I'm not that into it, but I do understand. There are so many different flavors and aromas. That's what draws people in at first; it's the aroma.

What's the best coffee drink you've ever had? There's a macadamia nut Kona Coffee that I love.

Is there a place locally that does coffee best? I haven't been to too many local places, but I like Pikes Perk downtown.

Are you familiar with the term "third wave of coffee"? No, I've never heard of it.

Usually, how do you take your coffee? Blonde and sweet.

Describe the role coffee plays in your life. It's moderately important to me. I came from a coffee town — Seattle — so for me, it's like a comfort food. I started drinking coffee when I was 5, but it was the nasty stuff. I learned better in college.

Do you consider yourself a coffee geek? I used to, because I worked in a coffee shop; I knew a lot about it. Now I just drink it because I like the taste.

What's the best coffee drink you've ever had? My favorite right now is Highlander Grogg. It's a roasted bean with toffee or butterscotch undertones.

What local place does coffee best? I'm a Starbucks regular; I go there a lot.

Are you familiar with the term "third wave of coffee"? No, I've never heard the term.

How do you take your coffee? Black. Otherwise it takes away from the taste.

How big a role does coffee play in your life? Not very big. I don't drink it every day, but we go out for coffee once or twice a week.

What local coffee places do you like? I really like The Coffee Exchange downtown, or Jives on the west side.

What's the best coffee drink you've ever had? Anything white and sweet; I try something different every time I go.

Are you familiar at all with the term "third wave of coffee"? Is a blank stare an answer? So I guess that's a no. I don't spend that much time thinking about coffee.
