Camera & Lens Demo Day

When: Sun., May 22, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. 2016

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is a pretty epic experience that combines the traditional animal habitats with spectacular views and just enough of a hike to help you justify an ice cream cone when you finally reach the carousel. It's a memorable trip for any visitor, but today will offer a little something extra — a chance to capture those memories with some of the best new camera gear and lenses on the market. Mike's Camera will be at the zoo lending both aspiring and seasoned photographers state-of-the-art camera equipment to create picture perfect snapshots of any critters your heart desires. And you get to keep your photos, which is a pretty rad deal all around. The details: Gear is free to borrow, but is first come, first served, so be sure to arrive early. Bring your driver's license, credit card, and an SD card (loaners available). Regular zoo admission applies. 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, 4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Road, $11.75-$19.75, cmzoo.org. — Bridgett Harris

Price: Camera rental is free, but standard zoo admission fees apply
