Hot on the heels of emcee Zetfree Found*ded’s genre-bending “Paper Trail” collaboration with Haunted Windchimes’ Inaiah Lujan comes Boiled Bones from Zet and his Bullhead*ded cohorts Che Bong and Nato. The long-awaited concept EP — which is set in a near-future dystopia complete with valiant young hero, pirate radio station, iron-fisted government forces and the like — is the first in a promised three-part series, with accompanying comic books also in the works. As we’ve come to expect over the past decade, the trio’s tracks never get stuck in any one groove, venturing in this case from the tongue-in-cheek “Sorry for the Bad Dancing” to the grave subject matter of the Maulskull-produced “Snuffed.” To celebrate, the group will be throwing an EP release party at the Black Sheep, an appropriate venue given that Bullhead*ded have played there more than anyone else on the planet, and deservedly so.
