Studies show that practicing yoga as a part of your health regimen can be physically and mentally beneficial. At least one group in town (see here) believes that in order to maximize its effectiveness, you might need to do it, um, naked.

What kind of picture comes to mind when you hear the term "naked yoga"? Surprise. I wonder if it's men and women doing yoga together, or if it's two rooms, unisex, or maybe everyone with, like, a personal booth or something.
Would you be surprised to discover there are naked yoga groups in Colorado Springs? Quite.
What's your take on the way our society views nudity? I think it's interesting because it's really promoted through the media and advertisements — through a lot of products that tell us that having a good, nude body is something to [strive] for. At the same time, people are really uncomfortable about being nude, or being indecent in public, and it seems like there's a lot of regulation about when, where and how people can be nude, or express their body in that way.

What's one question you would ask the organizer of naked yoga, if you could? Can I still wear my sports bra and consider it naked?
What's your take on the way American society views nudity? I think that it still remains fairly conservative, but people need to be who they are. I spent a week down at a nudist colony in Florida and loved it. Everyone was very open; it wasn't about what people looked like nude. They were just themselves and open and cohesive. Hopefully one day society will be OK with that.
What do you think would be the worst form of exercise to do naked? Well, it depends if you're male or female. If you're male, it's bullriding; if you're female, it's waterskiing.

Would you be surprised to discover there are naked yoga groups in Colorado Springs? I hadn't heard of any, but I guess it wouldn't be too surprising. It's a city; there's bound to be something for everyone.
What's your take on the way our society views nudity? I do think it's kind of interesting that men are allowed to go topless in public, and women aren't. I mean personally, I wouldn't want to go around naked, but I think that's just how society has shaped me, and if we had all started out just staying naked, then I wouldn't have a problem with it. That's just kind of what happens.
What would be the worst form of exercise to do naked? Push-ups. Just because I hate push-ups anyway.
