– Blitzen Trapper produced its ninth studio album to accompany a stage production in the band’s hometown of Portland, Oregon, which makes the songs precise and clean, perhaps the most perfect Blitzen Trapper album yet — except that’s part of the problem. The concept album comes off as a well-oiled machine, with great tracks like “Wind Don’t Always Blow” and “Forever” (Parts 1 & 2), but offers little of the wild abandon the band used to favor on albums like Destroyer of the Void
