"Beyond Binaries: Identity and the Sexuality Spectrum"

When: Mon., Oct. 12, 8-9 p.m. 2009

Robyn Ochs is an activist, writer, educator on bisexual issues and possessor of a pretty kick-ass last name (German for, and sounding like, "ox"). Brett-Genny Beemyn, director of the Stonewall Center at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, says "Robyn has probably done more than any other person in the U.S. and perhaps even the world to educate the general public about bisexuality." I say she's a powerful speaker talking at 8 tonight in Gates Common Room at CC's Palmer Hall (1025 N. Cascade Ave., robynochs.com) about how people form their personal identity and how it relates to the development of bisexuality. — Bryce Crawford
