The Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado (BBBSC) will develop the first-ever database of social enterprise organizations, the consumer organization announced in a statement.

The BBBSC will also examine whether it should create a BBB Trustmark for social impact organizations — similar to the program it already has to help consumers recognize trusted businesses.

"Unfortunately, fraud is already showing up in this area," Jonathan Liebert, CEO and executive director of the BBBSC, states.

The Quad Innovation Partnership, a joint initiative among four local colleges, and the Colorado Institute for Social Impact will help make the project possible.
