Barnes & Noble book signing

When: Fri., Nov. 21, 7 p.m. 2014

No disrespect to Terry Frei, who's a great sportswriter, but you have to love Adrian Dater. Both cover sports for the Denver Post, but only Dater has seen headlines for his ballsy mouth. Last month, he hopped on Twitter and wrote that the only thing hockey player Brayden McNabb will ever be known for is his "pussy" hit on a developing Avalanche player. He then flamed half the people who responded, and ripped off an angry email to a reporter at The Sporting News, which she then tweeted. (The Post suspended Dater for two weeks, without pay.) So, throw out some high-fives when Frei and Dater come to Barnes & Noble (1565 Briargate Blvd., bn.com) at 7 tonight to sign their book Save by Roy: Patrick Roy and the Return of the Colorado Avalanche. — Bryce Crawford
