American Falls

When: Mondays-Saturdays, 1 p.m. Continues through Dec. 15 2015

Filmmaker and CU-Boulder professor Phil Solomon has long been acclaimed for his mesmerizing approach to modern cinema. He has created some of the most stylistically unique contributions to the experimental genre, using media such as video game footage to create thought-provoking commentary. Through Dec. 15, catch his American Falls at Colorado College's I.D.E.A. Space (825 N. Cascade Ave., bit.ly/1NZOld0). Solomon's eerily beautiful tryptych explores American history through an engrossing blend of archival imagery, clips from American films and a unique degraded processing method, all interwoven with footage from Niagara Falls. The 55-minute film runs between 1 and 6 most days, and is free. — Bridgett Harris
