A Tiny Barge Dance Party

When: Fri., Nov. 20, 8-11 p.m. 2015

Diminutive but far from demure, Virginia ex-pat Tiny Barge cuts a larger-than-life figure onstage, having fronted his local show band The Big Chill for the better part of two decades now. Barge is a gifted and kinetic performer who knows his way around crowd-pleasing covers that, on any given night, might include Ben E. King's "Stand By Me," a chant-along version of Manfred Mann's "Doo Wah Diddy Diddy," and lesser-known classics like Walter Jackson's aching "It's an Uphill Climb to the Bottom." You can catch the man and his band at 8 tonight at Stargazers Theatre (10 S. Parkside Drive, Tickets are $10, plus fees. — Bill Forman
