The Colorado Springs Independent, the largest locally owned newspaper and media company serving the Pikes Peak region, is the "alternative voice" providing in-depth news and cultural reporting desperately needed in our heavily evangelical, military and Republican region.
Oversees long term digital strategies and implementation for All CPH publications — The Independent, The Colorado Springs Business Journal, The Southeast Express, The Pikes Peak Bulletin, The Space Observer, The Fort Carson Mountaineer, and The Schriever Sentinel. Manages/oversees weekly digital content and distribution for all CPH platforms including but not limited to websites, newsletters, surveys and social media channels.
Responsible for daily maintenance and technical troubleshooting on all CPH CMS platforms, including but not limited to Foundation and Wordpress. Responsible for editorial digital staff trainings and coordinating weekly Indy editorial online content production. Responsible for digital sales staff training, client support, and implementing digital revenue streams. Responsible for generating and editing native and branded online content. Oversees digital analytics and data reports for all CPH publications.
Applicants should have basic knowledge working in coding and CMS platforms like Foundation and Wordpress; familiarity with Alphabet/Google applications (Google ads, Analytics) and Adobe Suite programs like Audition; Premiere, and InCopy; experience producing/editing video; audio and online multi media content; a firm understanding in digital and social media advertising and associated tools.

You must be a rockin' sales person. Like 2+ years experience selling print, broadcast and/or online advertising or the equivalent badass in a customer service position. As always, you must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, be self-motivated and have boss communication skills.
Your job, should you choose to accept it (and us you) is to service and grow existing customers as well as finding and signing new advertisers. New business development is a KEY FUNCTION of this position. You should also have a vehicle that will get you where you need to go.
