The city now has your pothole reports.
A technical malfunction with the city’s GoCoSprings app, which residents can use to report issues such as potholes and downed trees, “delayed the receipt of more than 2,000 resident reports” between April and July, the city announced July 22.
“We want everyone know that the app is back up and running and is still the most effective way to report, and that we are taking swift action to complete the backlogged requests,” said Public Works Director Travis Easton, who was quoted in the statement.
Nine hundred of the delayed requests were pothole reports, and Public Works has shifted crews to deal with those requests, the statement says.
The city is preparing an updated version of the app, to be called “GoCOS.” It’s slated to be available in a few weeks.
