We don’t normally blog about crowd-funding efforts, simply because there are so many of them these days. But in the case of Woodshed Red, the circumstances are both unusual and unfortunate enough to make an exception.
The local bluegrass band has uploaded surveillance videos
to their Facebook page of a June 19th incident, in which a trailer and nearly all of their instruments and sound equipment were stolen. Like most indie musicians, Woodshed Red operate on a shoestring budget, making this the kind of financial setback from which too many bands never recover.
In addition to viewing and sharing the crime footage, you can donate to a gofundme campaign
that’s been set up to help replace the stolen property. If the instruments and equipment are recovered, the band is promising a full refund to all donors.
