n 2016, The Gazette
boldly proclaimed Colorado Springs to be the Tiny Housing Capital of America, thanks in part to Colorado Springs’ own Tumbleweed Tiny Homes being the largest manufacturer of tiny homes in the country. The city’s title (deserved or not at the time) seemed to be under special threat when the National Tiny House Jamboree packed up shop and moved
to Arlington, Texas, last year. But now tiny home enthusiasts have a new get-together to look forward to. At the People’s Tiny House Festival
, enjoy panels with tiny home and DIY experts, speakers such as YouTuber Bryce Langston (Living Big in a Tiny House), food, beer, live music, plenty of vendors and, of course, tiny homes and camper vans on display. Instead of narrowing the focus to tiny houses, this event offers resources related to the whole movement of sustainable living, so there should be plenty of learning to do, whether or not a downsizing is in your future.
