The Springs' minor league baseball scene will see some major changes in 2019, as the Sky Sox triple-A team makes its way to San Antonio, Texas, and the rookie-advanced Helena Brewers, from Montana, move into Security Service Field.
And while the "Brewers" may seem very apt name for a Colorado Springs team — you know, because beer — they're turning to locals to help craft the franchises' new brand.
"We need your stories to develop an identity that will be true to the heart of Colorado Springs," the team says in a release, incentivizing participation with the offer of 2019 season tickets for four, a personalized jersey, and a role in the Opening Day ceremonies for the winning brand.
Before we go any further — because we know how the internet works 2018 — we're pretty sure the team isn't
looking to sport any "McFace" branding with their team colors (even though Boaty McBoatFace
remains a shining tribute to Internet culture.)
