I’ve heard Barack Obama speak 30 times ... and Wednesday night was the best speech I’ve ever in-the-room heard from him.

It might have been the best he ever made. He acknowledged divisions in the Democratic Party and brought us together.

Talk here in Philly is that no matter who wins the presidency, it will be a step down from who we have now. Obama may be a once-in-a-lifetime president.

But his argument for Hillary Clinton to be that next president rings true. There has never been anyone as qualified to become president as Hillary, as he said, “Not me, not Bill, nobody.”

The president laid out a measured case against Trump. Once again, Barack Obama brought Democrats together, gave us hope and gave us direction. For the final night of the convention, I’m wearing my Bernie button and my first Hillary button and looking forward to hearing from our next president.

It will be historic.
