Rightsizing or tightsizing of city roads?

The idea of slicing a lane of traffic off Cascade Avenue, and other north-south routes through the Old North End, drew a big crowd to City Auditorium last evening.

  • It was almost standing room only at City Auditorium on Tuesday for a meeting about "right sizing" Cascade Avenue and other routes.
The Old North End Neighborhood and Colorado College would like to see a reduction in lanes of some roads to allow bicycle and pedestrian traffic, but some residents are opposed.

We wrote about this issue in a story that appeared in the April 13 issue.

The city seems to be moving full steam ahead with the plan. City Council will consider it later this month.
