As we previously reported,
the city will soon launch a drive to label Colorado Springs as the Olympic City, USA
According to a Power Point presentation to be given to City Council on next week, the effort will be under taken by a bunch of people representing the city, the U.S. Olympic Committee, Sports Corp., Colorado Springs Business Alliance and others. Mayor John Suthers' wife, Janet, will be a "community advocate" on the panel.
The mission is: “To create sustainable economic growth and enhance civic pride by effectively positioning
Colorado Springs as Olympic City, USA.”
