Bristol's barrel-aged Winter Warlock releases tonight

Bristol Brewing Company and Axe and the Oak Distillery made a beer baby together, and you can drink it tonight between 6 and 9 p.m. in the gym at Ivywild School. 

What went down is Bristol aged some of its Winter Warlock Oatmeal Stout in a used Axe and the Oak whiskey barrel, as the first installment of a new barrel-aging program together. 

According to a press release, more info on the partnership will follow next week, as Axe and the Oak will also apparently be concocting a beer barrel whiskey down the road. 

As for tonight's celebration, the first 100 folks in the door will earn free food from the Old School Bakery, and Here’s to Fightin’ will lend the soundtrack. Free samples of the beer, Axe and the Oak whiskey, and cocktails featuring that whiskey will be available. Larger portions will of course be available for purchase.
