Much like superheroes, cities need theme songs. Or at least Denver does.
The Mile High City will be spending $5,000 to commission a composer for its official “City and County Building Chime.”
Proposed signature tunes need to be uplifting, lively, positive, and celebratory — none of that “Phantom of the Opera”
or “Bells of Rhymney”
stuff — and they must also be limited to 10 notes (C, D, E, F, G, A, B, B flat, C, and D).
Entries are restricted to Colorado artists
, and must be received by Friday, January 15.
