You might be fighting off a cold right now. Several people in our office building sound like marine mammals barking at one another on a sheet of ice somewhere, as they cough continually.
Yes, the changing of the seasons has its drawbacks, such as communal sickness.
But then it has its high points, like the changing of menus at fine establishments around town — those that care to be in harmony with flavors of each season with offerings that surpass winter boozy coffees or summer shandies.

just recently overhauled its list too. You'll find it here
on their website.
We also not long ago reported on V Bar's morph
, where improvisation rules the drink — so it's fair to say you could request something apropos for early winter. Or the Vanilla-Hibiscus Apple Orchard
should still drink pretty well around this time.
One final pick for now, The Warehouse
, appeared off to a fabulous bar beginning with James Africano's return and reopening of the spot, highlighting executive bartender Stephen Winchell, who formerly worked at both Principal's Office and The Famous.
We're also big fans of the regular mixology on display at The Wobbly Olive
, where recent fall cocktails included a pumpkin pie martini and cranberry mojito.
Earlier this summer, I downed this beauty at The Wobbly Olive. Now that it's fall time, the fire should feel even better next to a seasonally appropriate cocktail.
