The power of the pen in action folks!
Around 3:30 p.m., everyone in my office began to hear a strange rumbling coming from outside our doors. One co-worker described the sound as similar to "a giant toilet flushing."
Even better. It was the sound of a city crew filling the potholes outside our office on 235 S. Nevada Ave. As some of you will recall, I wrote a story
about our city's remarkable potholes this week. Which means that I'm the one you can thank when your car doesn't sink into a giant hole in the ground the next time you're driving this section of South Nevada Avenue. (OK, I actually have no evidence that's true, and also the city workers are probably due some credit, but my coworkers
think it's all me so...)
Anyway, best of luck to the rest of you on getting your most-hated potholes filled. And remember, you can report new potholes at 385-5934 or via the GoCoSprings app on a smartphone.
