Mayor Steve Bach
will be back at it starting this Thursday in beating the drum for going into debt to fund infrastructure upgrades, including roads, bridges, flood control and other public facilities.

He's been trotting out the proposal at a series of community meetings, which took a break over the holiday and returns this week.

Meeting information:

Thursday, Jan. 8, Sabin Middle School, 3605 N. Carefree Circle

— Thursday, Jan. 15, Stetson Hills Police Substation, 4110 Tutt Blvd.

Both places are served by Mountain Metro Transit. The Jan. 8 meeting is on route 25, while the Jan. 15 meeting is on route 23.

The city's news release:
Mayor Steve Bach will host the final two Community Forums to discuss with residents the highest priority, backlogged capital improvement projects in their neighborhoods for stormwater, streets, public safety and parks. The Community Forums will be held in Councilmember Jill Gaebler’s district at Sabin Middle School, Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 and in Councilmember Andy Pico’s district at the Stetson Hills Police Substation, Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 from 5:30-7 p.m.
Mayor Bach added the January forums to his original series of six forums held in November and December to gain valuable feedback from residents in city’s east side on improving our city’s stormwater, streets, public safety services and parks.
Residents are encouraged to bring their questions and concerns for stormwater, streets, public safety and parks to the Community Forum closest to their neighborhood.
Information about the Community Forums and a list of high priority backlogged capital improvement projects for stormwater, streets, parks and public safety will be posted on the City’s web site ColoradoSprings.gov and BachsOffice.com.
