Facing allegations that he sexually assaulted a 17-year-old boy, Woodland Park Mayor David Turley has resigned.
Turley, who was recently elected to a second term, was arrested in May on allegations of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust. According to court documents, Turley lavished the boy with gifts, fondled his genitals and took photos of him.
Turley, who denies the allegations, was facing a possible recall.
