When Antoine "Samir" Zamundupromised us The ReMINDers were going to be more active in 2014, he wasn’t kidding.
In just two weeks, the Colorado Springs hip-hop duo did a New Year’s Eve gig at Boulder’s Fox Theatre, performed during a snowstorm at Acacia Park, and spent this past weekend in Washington D.C., where they played with a 100-voice choir and then performed an hour-long set at the Kennedy Center.
On Wednesday, Samir and partner Aja Black put released their best-ever video, “Africa on My Mind,” and today, they announced two new shows. If you're fond of snow, you can catch them Tuesday at Aspen’s Belly Up during “Winter X Games 2014 week.” Or just wait until Saturday, January 25, when they’ll be doing a headlining performance with another youth choir at the free, all-ages “303 Choir Born Champions Colorado Hip-hop concert.”
The latter event takes place at Denver’s St. Charles Recreation Center, with more than a half-dozen other area hip-hop artists sharing the bill.
Meanwhile, you can always go to facebook.com/TheReminders to keep up with the duo as they continue their campaign to own 2014.
