ReMINDers can't stop, won't stop

When Antoine "Samir" Zamundu promised us The ReMINDers were going to be more active in 2014, he wasn’t kidding.

In just two weeks, the Colorado Springs hip-hop duo did a New Year’s Eve gig at Boulder’s Fox Theatre, performed during a snowstorm at Acacia Park, and spent this past weekend in Washington D.C., where they played with a 100-voice choir and then performed an hour-long set at the Kennedy Center.

On Wednesday, Samir and partner Aja Black put released their best-ever video, “Africa on My Mind,” and today, they announced two new shows. If you're fond of snow, you can catch them Tuesday at Aspen’s Belly Up during “Winter X Games 2014 week.” Or just wait until Saturday, January 25, when they’ll be doing a headlining performance with another youth choir at the free, all-ages “303 Choir Born Champions Colorado Hip-hop concert.”

The latter event takes place at Denver’s St. Charles Recreation Center, with more than a half-dozen other area hip-hop artists sharing the bill.

Meanwhile, you can always go to to keep up with the duo as they continue their campaign to own 2014.
