EDC staff recommends $53 million for C4C


UPDATE: The EDC has approved the city's full request of $120.5 million over 30 years to built four tourist attractions in Colorado Springs.

In just a few minutes, the state Economic Development Commission will decide how much in state sales tax money is warranted by City for Champions, a tourism package of four projects in Colorado Springs.

The city wants $120.5 million. But the staff of the Office of Economic Development and International Trade is recommending the EDC stick with the finding of the state's consultant and provide only $53 million.
