rules mean eligible voters can cast ballots as early as today.
We reported last night that a judge's ruling meant anyone could get a mail ballot, provided they followed the strict guidelines. (Read the full blog here
to get the details.) Mail ballots can be sent to voters, or they may simply be picked up at the main El Paso County Clerk's Office
at 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road during business hours
. Those who want to pick up a mail ballot will need to fill out an application
(or come with it already filled out) before they can receive a ballot. Once they have their ballot, they may fill it out on-site, and drop it in the handy "drop box" in the same office. Think of it as the do-it-yourself version of going to a polling place.
The clerks' offices are closed Monday for Labor Day
