Oct. 6 will bring the Colorado debut of Chipotle's free Cultivate festival, which began last year in Chicago and attracted 15,000 people. The event in Denver's City Park will feature food-related discussions on food-related issues, as well as the good stuff: local grub, beer and wine, live music and more.

Sample — Attendees can sample an array of local artisan foods and goods all under one tent, along with meeting those dedicated artisans that make their products right here in Colorado. Items include Saso Hot Sauces, Bahtki Chai, Il Mondo Vecchio and more.
Celebrity Chefs will demonstrate and share their culinary secrets with the audience through some tasty sustainably-focused recipes incorporating ingredients from local farms. Chefs include: Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson (Frasca Food and Wine), Richard Blais (Flip Burger Boutique/Atlanta) Amanda Freitag (Chopped, Iron Chef America) Jon Shook & Vinny Dotolo (Animal) and Michael Chiarello (Bottega Restaurant, Vintner, TV host).
Eat — Chipotle has created new recipes just for Cultivate. Each dish (barbacoa chili, tacos, carnitas tortas and foods from Chipotle’s Asian concept Chophouse Southwest Asian Kitchen [sic]) uses fresh ingredients from local farms. Learn about the food available here.
Explore — Meet local farmers from Petrocco Farms and Grant Family Farms, where Denver-area Chipotle restaurants source red onions, romaine lettuce, bell peppers and jalapeños as part of the locally sourced program. This year alone, Chipotle will purchase more than 10 million pounds of produce from local growers.
