Bruce Springsteen's keynote address at SXSW last Thursday was the most thoughtful, heartfelt, hilarious, and brilliantly inspirational talk I've had the pleasure of witnessing in person. I really can't imagine anyone not rating it up there with Obama's best.

But don't take my word for it. NPR, which streamed the speech live, has posted video of the entire 50 minutes.

In it, El Jefe offers colorful, personal reflections on the musicians who inspired him — Elvis, Orbison and Dylan, folk hero Woody Guthrie, Animals frontman Eric Burdon — often illustrating his point by singing and playing guitar.

He also tells some wonderful stories and conveys a passion for music and politics that's completely contagious.
