J. Miller Band kickstarts new album

Great news on the local "Son Volt meets George Jones" Americana front: Jason Miller and his band managed to squeak by their Kickstarter fundraising goal before its cutoff late last night.

The campaign drew 46 backers whose pledges put them $36 above the $2,500 they needed. (Kickstarter projects receive zero funds if their pledge goal isn't reached before deadline.)

Funds from the campaign will be used to finish the band's new album, The Road to ElVado.

To celebrate, here's a great video, shot last month by local lensman Kevin Ihle, in which the band performs their song "So Long Corrine" at Jason's house in Black Forest.
