Food-purge. Let's go:
• I heard from chef de cuisine Aaron Retka of the new Rabbit Hole Dinner and Drinks venture earlier today. He says look for the outfit's opening next Wednesday, June 15.
• The Blue Star will feature a special cocktail tomorrow, Friday, June 10: The Bellini, made from Italian white peach puree and Italian Prosecco. Each costs $10.
• Though it already aired on Sunday, June 5, the Food Network Challenge: Awesome 80's Cakes will air again at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 11 on the Food Network. Local pastry chef Heidi Cottrill of Chef Sugar's Cakes and Confections is one of the competitors featured. Check out some of the cake photos here.
