Organizers are saying they've sold 425 tickets for the much-publicized mayoral debate tonight between Richard Skorman and Steve Bach.
But that means plenty of empty seats for the 6 p.m. event at Pikes Peak Center, 190 S. Cascade Ave.
Too bad, because the exorbitant $10 admission charge (and yes, the Independent paid 30 bucks for J. Adrian Stanley, Pam Zubeck and myself to attend) meant a lot of regular folks won't bother.
It also won't be televised by any local stations, so there won't be any other means of seeing it — unless a video recording is made available online later. If so, let's hope there won't be a charge for viewing that.
The doors open at 5 p.m., and a reception is planned afterward at 7:15.
