Two college galleries will host free artist talks tomorrow. If you're about it, you might be able to hit both, and still make the 7 p.m. screening of How I Ended This Summer at the Lon Chaney Theatre.
First up, Harrell Fletcher and Wendy Red Star, the artists behind the socially engaged art project "Made in India," will speak at 4:30 p.m. in the film screening room at CC's Cornerstone Arts Center (825 N. Cascade Ave.). "Made in India" is on display at the I.D.E.A. Space as part of the exhibit Exchange Economies (you can read more about that here and here.)
Next, local artists Mary Vandezande and Robert LeDonne will speak at 5:30 p.m. on the exhibit, The Figure Reframed, now hanging at Pikes Peak Community College's Downtown Studio Art Gallery (100 W. Pikes Peak Ave.).
For more on The Figure Reframed, pick up Thursday's Independent.
