Dave Gardner, a documentary filmmaker from Colorado Springs, is featured in a Durango Herald story about his movie challenging the policy of growth as an economic engine.
Gardner long has criticized Springs city government for policies that encourage urban sprawl that he says can't be sustained by the tax money received from such growth.
He ran for City Council in 2009. Though he didn't win, he snagged a significant percentage of the vote, lending credibility to his message. According to the story, Hooked on Growth will be released in April.
