Yesterday, COPPeR gave a sneak peek of its Cultural Plan for the Pikes Peak Region. The plan is a comprehensive series of goals and recommended steps towards unifying and strengthening the arts and culture in El Paso and Teller Counties. Having a solid plan is one of the tenets preached by Michael Kaiser, president of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, who visited this past July as part of the Kennedy Center's "Arts in Crisis" tour.
Luckily, the Springs is a bit ahead of the game, since this plan has been in the works for two years. All will be revealed when it will be released to the public at the end of the month.
For a little hype around the master plan, watch this Battlestar Galactica-inspired video made by COPPeR, and visit coppercolo.org.
