Bono's back: U2 announces rescheduled dates on Live Aid anniversary



U2, an Irish rock quartet of some renown, has rescheduled its Denver date in the aftermath of the Bono back injury that brought the group's summer tour to a halt.

The band is now slated to play May 21, 2011, at Invesco Field, where tickets for the canceled show will now be honored. In the meantime, the group is off to Italy in early August for the start of its previously scheduled two-month European tour. (I should also mention that the Emo Bono doll seen above is not available in stores, or anywhere else for that matter. But you can view it and other parodies here.)

Interestingly enough, this afternoon's announcement falls on the exact 25th anniversary of U2's Live Aid performance. So here's their Live Aid rendition of "Bad," complete with an incongruous bit of Lou Reed's "Satellite of Love" tacked onto the beginning for no apparent reason:
