Yes, Nickelback has just added a Denver show to its 2010 tour. And yes, this is mostly just a thinly veiled excuse to run the Bloomington Bros' cover version of "Photograph," which is much more awesome and at least 25 percent funnier than the original.

Real Nickelback fans, meanwhile, will be pleased to know the band voted "Worst Band in the World" last year by the readers of Word Magazine (easily besting heavily favored contenders like Maroon 5 and Snow Patrol) will grace the Pepsi Center on Oct. 18 with heartfelt renditions of classics like "Rockstar" and "Something in Your Mouth."

What better opportunity to hear Nickelback play songs off its latest album, Dark Horse, which is approaching 2.5 million copies in U.S. sales and features the rocking Mutt Lange at the production helm? (Lange previously recorded albums for artists ranging from the Rolling Stones and New Model Army to his wife Shania Twain and, yes, Maroon 5.)

Tickets for the Denver show go on sale this coming Saturday. Find more info at the Pepsi Center website.
