Paul the octopus correctly predicted the outcomes of all of Germany's soccer matches in the World Cup by eating a morsel of food out of a box labeled with the winning country's flag. Of all his predictions, including matches in the Euro 2008 competition, Paul has only been wrong two of the 12 times. That's better odds than a random coin flip, at least.
With that in mind, it's important to note that the two-year-old celebrity octopus quickly chose Spain to beat the Netherlands in the World Cup final this coming Sunday. (It took him only three minutes to make up his mind.)
Usually, Paul is only used for games including Germany, the country where he resides, but with his perfect record this year, it'll be interesting to see if he gets this final match right.
Here's Paul in action:
He also picked Germany to beat Uruguay in the game for third place.
