Attorney General candidate Stan Garnett is reaching out to voters in two languages, adding Spanish to his website's "About Stan" feature.
"This is being done in an effort to make the candidate and his message better accessible to all Colorado residents," the Democrat's campaign said in a press release. "Garnett believes every voter should have an equal chance to participate in the political dialogue and government should be accessible to everyone."
“As Colorado Attorney General, I will represent all Coloradans and my office will be accessible to everyone,” Garnett said in the release. "My campaign is no different and I look forward to breaking down communication barriers and spreading my message to voters across the state."
Garnett, District Attorney for Colorado’s 20th Judicial District, is the first statewide candidate in this election to offer Spanish translations on his campaign website. As the campaign progresses, it is expected that additional features on the site will be offered in Spanish.
Garnett is trying to unseat Republican John Suthers, the former district attorney from Colorado Springs.
