A reminder: Tonight, a town hall to discuss a medical marijuana center ban is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Fire Station 19, 2490 Research Parkway.
An e-mail from Marijuana Patient Advocates reminds those interested in attending:
If you get there and can't find a seat, at least come into the room, stand and listen for a few minutes, then leave if you must. We want the officials and the audience to see the huge number of patients and their supporters who really care about this medicine.
If you are a patient who uses a wheel chair, please come early to get a good spot for your chair. Patients with other disabilities might call the fire station to learn if the room will accommodate them.
The hosts of this event also put a second item on the agenda: a discussion about the county buying a building. So you might see them try to use this as a decoy. If they start the meeting by talking about the building, stay there. Don't let them drive you out with mindless BS.
