Update, June 17, 10:47 a.m.: The legal seminar has been moved to July 10, to better help folks who've had to adjust to the July 1 deadline.
The Colorado Springs Medical Cannabis Council has several events coming up in the month of June that might just be useful for those scrambling for compliance.
First, for those whose soul was mortally offended at the 8 a.m. start time of the first one, another legal seminar featuring attorneys Clifton Black and Charles Houghton will offer a break down of House Bill 1284. It's at 9 a.m. on
June 26, a slightly better start time, and the Antlers Hotel is still the place. It's the type of bill that needs as much exploration as possible, so go if you didn't.
Second, is another dispensary-grower mixer in the lower level of the Ritz Grill, from 6 to 8 p.m. on June 21.
"We invite everyone to attend as a way to network within the industry, since new law requires dispensaries to provide 70 percent of product, and growers will now have to be beneath the umbrella of a dispensary," says an e-mail from CSMCC director of communications Jessica Hogan. "Our last mixer was very successful with more than 80 attendees."
