Most of us know what a pain in the ass it is when your car breaks down.
It can leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere. And then you have to pay to get the darn thing fixed — a huge unexpected expense, and a big inconvenience. Until the car is repaired, you have to find another way to get to work, get the groceries, get the kids to school, etc.
Of course, these days many people are barely scraping by. They can't afford to repair a car. And losing your transportation can mean losing your job.
That's why it was so refreshing to see an ad for the upcoming "Repair and Share" clinic. The class, which is coming up in June, aims to teach folks how to recognize problems with their vehicles and make small repairs themselves.
