If you’ve been looking for a reason to go up to Fort Collins — and really, who hasn’t? — here it is. The lineup for the town’s free Bohemian Nights festival has just been announced, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a more diverse array of headliners.

The three-day outdoor extravaganza kicks off Aug. 20 with Denver’s own Flobots, whose first post-“Handlebars” album, Survival Story entered the Billboard album charts at #44 back in March.

Then on Saturday, Aug. 21, Earth, Wind & Fire will deliver with serve up glossy r&b hits of the “Shining Star” and “Let’s Groove” variety.

Sunday night closes with Earl Scruggs, the bluegrass banjo god whose Foggy Mountain Boys inspired O Brother, Where Art Thou's Soggy Bottom Boys.

Factor in more than 50 Colorado bands playing on five stages, and you’d be crazy not to go. Info and updates at http://www.bohemiannights.org/.

And just to get you in the mood, here’s EWF themselves. Really, you gotta wonder: Why don’t MORE bands make videos like this?
