With the demise of winter comes the arrival of big concert announcements.
First up is Lady Gaga, whose July 28 date at the Pepsi Center goes on sale this Friday.
We happened to interview the now ridiculously successful dance-pop diva back in 2008, when she was still virtually unknown and opening for, of all acts, New Kids on the Block.
Of course, far be it from us to brag about such matters, although you CAN still go check out the article here. (Yes, it was all our fault.)
For those who prefer their fluff with more scruff, whatever that means, you should know that tickets go on sale Saturday for the Kings of Leon, who've been booked to play the Comfort Dental Amphitheatre on July 20.
The Nashville rockers, who are well-known for their exemplary dental hygiene, will also be modeling their new line of designer apparel, which debuted in January and was described by the L.A. Times as follows:
Dubbed S2A x KOL, the 12-piece collection includes just about what you might expect from musician-designed and -influenced duds, including leather jackets, skinny-leg jeans, red check button-front shirts, guitar straps and a painfully hip fedora. Prices are expected to range from about $100 (for a bandana) to nearly $2,000 (for the leather jacket).
It's comforting to know that, unlike their superficial pop diva counterparts, authentic rock bands like Kings of Leon refuse to sell out.
