It began with accusations, a power struggle, and the firing of its top administrators. But the Cesar Chavez School Network saga is far from over.
The Colorado Department of Education has already conducted an investigation that found widespread cheating on state tests the network's flagship school in Pueblo (the network also has charter schools in Denver and Colorado Springs). The CDE is now looking into accusations of financial mismanagement at the network.
Members of the public are encouraged to report anything they know about the mishandling of funds by the network. Citizens may report to MGT of America, Inc., the company hired by the CDE for the investigation, by filing a complaint online. A link can be located at pueblocityschools.us.
